X Wallet documentation

Everything you need to understand, install, use, and secure X Wallet.

Official documentation

This documentation is for X Wallet and is published under the official docsxwallet.com domain. Use the official X Wallet website for product access and verify domains before entering sensitive information.

New to X Wallet? Begin with Installation, then Create or import a wallet and Backup & recovery. Security guidance is available throughout the documentation.

GET STARTED

Installation

Install X Wallet only from official distribution channels linked from the X Wallet website.

Before you install

Verify that the website address is xwalletin.com or an official X Wallet subdomain. Avoid downloads shared through unsolicited messages, advertisements, or unknown repositories.

After installation

Open X Wallet and review the wallet creation/import flow. Never disclose a recovery phrase or private key to another person, website, support agent, or application.

WALLET

Create or import a wallet

Understand the difference between creating a new wallet and restoring an existing wallet before you continue.

Create a new wallet

Follow the in-app wallet creation flow and complete the backup step. Your recovery material should remain under your control.

Import an existing wallet

Only enter recovery material into the official X Wallet application and only when you intentionally choose the import flow. Do not paste recovery phrases into chat, forms, websites, or support tickets.

SECURITY

Backup & recovery

Your recovery material is the most important credential associated with a self-custodied wallet.

Protect your recovery phrase

Store it offline in a secure location. Do not photograph it, upload it to cloud storage, or share it with anyone.

Recovery warning

Anyone who obtains valid recovery material may be able to control the associated assets. X Wallet support should never need your recovery phrase or private key.

WALLET

Dashboard

The dashboard provides the main view of wallet accounts, balances, assets, and activity.

Balances

Token balances are displayed using network and asset information available to the wallet. Confirm the network and asset contract before relying on a token display.

Activity

Transaction activity should be checked against the relevant blockchain explorer when you need an independent confirmation.

WALLET

Networks

Networks determine where transactions are broadcast and which assets and contracts are relevant.

Verify network details

Before sending funds or interacting with a contract, verify the selected network, destination address, and asset.

Network additions

Only use network configuration information published through official X Wallet documentation or the network's authoritative sources.

WALLET

Send & receive

Review transaction details carefully before signing or broadcasting a transaction.

Sending

Confirm the recipient address, network, asset, amount, and estimated network fee. Blockchain transactions can be irreversible.

Receiving

Share only the public address needed to receive funds. Never share a recovery phrase or private key as part of a receiving workflow.

SECURITY

Token permissions

Smart-contract approvals can allow a contract to interact with specified tokens.

Review before signing

Read the requested spender, asset, amount, and network before approving a transaction. Avoid signing requests you do not understand.

Revoke when appropriate

If a permission is no longer needed, consider revoking it using a trusted tool appropriate for the network.

SECURITY

Security model

Security documentation should describe the actual implementation rather than relying on generic trust claims.

User-controlled credentials

Recovery phrases and private keys must be treated as highly sensitive credentials. X Wallet documentation will never ask users to disclose them.

Defense in depth

Use official domains, keep software updated, inspect transaction details, and independently verify important addresses and contracts.

Independent verification

For security-sensitive claims such as audits, certifications, custody architecture, or key-management guarantees, consult the specific evidence published by X Wallet rather than relying on badges or marketing language.

SECURITY

Phishing protection

Scammers may imitate wallet brands, support teams, websites, and browser extensions.

Official-domain rule

Treat xwalletin.com and official X Wallet subdomains as the starting point for navigation. Be cautious with look-alike domains and shortened links.

Never disclose secrets

X Wallet support should not request your recovery phrase, private key, password, or signing approval to 'verify' your wallet.

If something looks wrong

Stop before signing or entering sensitive information. Navigate manually to the official website and verify the request.

SECURITY

Responsible disclosure

A clear vulnerability-reporting process helps security researchers communicate issues responsibly.

Report a vulnerability

Use the official X Wallet security contact published on xwalletsecurity.com. Do not include recovery phrases, private keys, passwords, or other secrets in a report.

What to include

Provide a concise description, affected component/version, reproduction steps where appropriate, security impact, and a safe contact method.
